Recommendations for your dog and cat's health

Our recommendations for your dog:

  • Rabies vaccination for dogs over 3 months of age, then at 1 year, then every 3 years (Rabies vaccine required in Eau Claire County)
  • Canine Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus and Coronavirus (DHLPPC) vaccination for puppies starting at 8 weeks and boostered every 3-4 weeks until 16-20 weeks old  
  • Canine Distemper, Hepatitis, and Parainfluenza (DHPP) vaccine for dogs at 1 year then every 1-3 years
  • Leptospirosis vaccine given every 1 year after puppy series 
  • Bordatella (Kennel Cough) vaccination starting at 8 weeks of age then every 1 year
  • Lyme disease vaccination starting at 9 weeks of age with booster in 3-4 weeks then every 1 year
  • Heartworm and tick disease (Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichia) testing every 1 year
  • Spay or Neuter recommended at 12-18 months of age (age dependent on breed and size)
  • Flea and Tick prevention year round
  • Fecal test (assessment of stool for intestinal parasites) annually
  • Wellness exam annually +/- bloodwork screen dependent on health and age

Our recommendations for your cat:

  • Rabies vaccinations for cats over 3 months of age then every 1 year (Rabies vaccine required in Eau Claire County)
  • Feline Distemper, Calicivirus and Rhinotracheitis (FVRCP) vaccination for cats starting at 8 weeks of age with boosters every 3-4 weeks until 16-20 weeks, then every 1-3 years depending on risk
  • Feline Leukemia/ Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) testing for cats over the age of 8 weeks
  • Feline Leukemia vaccination starting at 8-12 weeks, then boostered in 3-4 weeks, then at 1 year, and then annually depending on risk
  • Spay or Neuter recommended at 6-12 months of age
  • Flea and Tick prevention year round
  • Fecal test (assessment of stool for intestinal parasites) annually
  • Wellness exam annually +/- bloodwork screen dependent on health and age
